Huntington City Beach

The Huntington City Beach is one of the most popular beaches in the city. Due to its proximity to the famous landmark Huntington Beach Pier and Downtown Huntington Beach, the beach receives more than 11 million visitors each year. Bolsa Chica State Beach is another great beach to visit in the city, especially for beginners. The 3-mile long beach has an amazing swimming area along with shallow waves that are perfect for people just beginning to learn to surf. There are also a number of surf schools near the beach. Facilities at the beach include fire rings, abundant parking, bike trails, basketball courts, restrooms, cold showers, picnic areas, visitor center and barbecue grills. Huntington State Beach

Extending over 2 miles, Huntington State Beach is renowned for offering the best swimming opportunities in the city. Surfing is only allowed here during high season and that also in selected areas. This leaves a huge space open for bodysurfers, swimming and boogie boarders. The beach is also the designated training location for lifeguards in the state of California. Other popular outdoor activities that take place over here include a nesting sanctuary for endangered birds and surf fishing. Dog Beach

As the name suggests, Dog Beach in Huntington City is the only beach in the city that allows dogs. Spread over 1.5 miles, the beach offers every kind of amenity and facility for your four legged best friend. It has been also named as one of the top 10 Fido-friendly beaches in the country by Fido Friendly Magazine. Dog Beach is the perfect place to spend some quality time with your canine friend. Fully equipped with all amenities (for both dogs and humans), it is very difficult to find another place like this where your furry friend can freely play in the waves. Sunset Beach

Sunset Beach is the latest and the northernmost beach in the city of Huntington Beach. Even though it is just 1.5 miles long, the beach offers the same facilities and amenities as the other beaches in the city.
